David Ondříček in New York this Thursday!

David Ondříček is heading to New York this week where he will introduce his drama Dukla 61.

 

 

One of the most accomplished current Czech directors David Ondříček is heading to New York this week where he will introduce his drama Dukla 61 at the Czech Center New York on Thursday, June 27 at 7pm. Dukla 61, a mining drama based on true events, won the Czech Lion Award for the lead actress Martha Issová and was well received all over the world. David Ondříček, selected by Variety as one of the 10 directors to watch in 2013, will be available for discussion with the audience after the screening. 

Czech That Film festival also continues in Chicago this month, where the festival is organized by the Czech Consulate General in Chicago in cooperation with the Gene Siskel Film Center. All films are screened at the Gene Siskel Film Center (164 N. State Street, Chicago, IL 60601). Film lovers in Chicago will have the opportunity to enjoy popular Czech comedy Patrimony (Tátova Volha), starring Tatiana Wilhelmová, one of the most beloved current Czech actors. The festival in Chicago will also conclude with David Ondříček’s drama Dukla 61, this time personally introduced by Antonie Formanová, the granddaughter of Miloš Forman and actress in the film. There will be Q&A session with Antonie Formanová following the screening  on July 2, 2019 in Chicago.
