It´s vacation time!

Students and teachers from the Czech & Slovak School in Astoria had their last classes of this school year on Friday, June 7th! Miroslav Konvalina, the new director of the Czech Center New York, visited historical Bohemian Hall in Queens to wish teachers, students, and their parents, nice upcoming vacation. Miroslav Konvalina met with the director of the school Martina Suchánková as well as with teachers of Czech language and students´ parents. They have established that they will talk about future collaboration in September. Miroslav Konvalina is also a co-author of a popular program "Into space with a mole" which supports children´s interest in astronautics, space and science in general and emphasizes Czech-American relations at the same time. In addition to the children education in Astoria, Czech classes for adults are taught in Manhattan at the Czech Center New York. The school year ended there this week as well.
