Pop Rock Concert: MICHAL HRŮZA

Singer, songwriter and lyricist Michal Hrůza will play his debut concert in New York City and Washington, D.C.! Michal Hrůza has been a personality of the Czech music scene for twenty years now. Audiences will mostly recognize him as a founding member and longtime frontman of the Ready Kirken band.

Czech singer Michal Hrůza will perform with his band Kapela Hrůzy at the Bohemian National Hall in New York City on Thursday, February 13, 2020. Though the renowned Czech rocker has been on the domestic music scene for more than twenty years, he presents himself for the first time in New York and Washington this February.

In 2006, he went solo and founded the band Kapela Hrůzy. Michal Hrůza has also composed film music for Czech movies such as Lidice (Fall of the Innocent), Padesátka (Fifty), or Pohádky pro Emu (Failytales for Ema). His composition Budu ti vyprávět (I’ll Tell You a Story) was selected to be used in the Czech TV series Vyprávěj (known as Czech Family Saga or Wonderful Times in English), a show very popular with Czech viewers. Michal Hrůza and his band will be playing in the USA for the very first time in their musical career, performing in both New York and Washington, D.C.

The main parter is Magistrate of the Capital City of Prague. Organized by Czech Center New York and Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C. in collaboration with Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York and Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association.
