Celebrating Print 2015 – Call for Entries

Call to artists of Central and Eastern European backgrounds to submit their fine art prints for the second annual competition with exhibition in New York City. Prints, juried by New York-based visual artist, printmaker and Associate Professor Mildred Beltré will be on view at Manhattan’s Bohemian National Hall from December 7, 2015 until January 13, 2016.


Cash prize(s) will be awarded. One artist will be selected for a profile in printed edition of the Celebrating Print Magazine.

All fine art printmaking media, including intaglio, relief prints, lithography, silkscreen, monotype, and monoprint are eligible. Digital prints are eligible only if they incorporate other methods of hand-pulled printing. Art must be hand-pulled and generated on stone, block, or plate using the printing process. The presented works must have been created between 2014 and 2015.

Interested and qualified artists must complete the Entry Form, submit digital images of up to 3 prints, and pay the Entry Fee. Eligible artists must be of Central or Eastern European backgrounds.

Fee: $30 (return shipping included) for images of up to 3 prints

Print paper size limit: 16 x 20 inches (40 x 50 cm), larger prints will be accepted for additional fee of $25)

Juror’s selection announced: Friday, October 23, 2015

Delivery of selected prints: Friday, November 27, 2015

Exhibition on view: December 7, 2015 – January 13, 2016 at BBLA Gallery, New York City

The annual Celebrating Print Competition is organized by KADS NY, a New York based fine art print dealership and publisher with consulting practice. Established in 2010, KADS NY has been regularly showing Central European prints at various venues in New York and other states, and organizing educational events in partnership with other cultural institutions.
