Czech National Day Concerts

The Czech Center New York and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York cordially invites you to attend two special concerts under the auspices of the Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Edita Hrdá and the Consul General of the Czech Republic Martin Dvořák dedicated to the Czech National Day on October 28th.

We are proud to present two concerts to celebrate the anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia, a country which emerged as an independent republic on the 28th of October 1918, and whose democratic, republican and tolerant tradition the Czech nation proudly claims.


  • October 23rd, 7PM – Antonín Dvořák´s Serenade for Strings and more by Bohemian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Michel Galante.
  • October 24th , 7PM – Antonín Dvořák´s Sonatina G major, Op.100, Humoresque and more by Jaroslav Svěcený (violin) and Václav Mácha (piano)
