Architecture and Fashion, a photography exhibition that creates an artistic dialogue capturing both feminine beauty and modern high tech architecture by showcasing photographs of the new University Center in Zlín, designed by world-renowned architect Eva Jiřičná and high-fashion clothes crafted by Šárka Šišková. These spectacular images were captured by Lucie Robinson, the nation‘s leading fashion photographer, who asked one of the most beautiful women in the world, Taťána Kuchařová, Miss World 2006, to help illuminate the mesmerizing architecture of Zlín.

About Zlín in New York

For the first time ever, Czech Center New York invites you to experience the local essence of a trendy small bohemian city – Zlín, Czech Republic, via the multi-site show “Zlín in New York.” Zlín was once called by the NY Times “an architectural gold mine.”

This first-ever comprehensive exhibition devoted to a single region of the Czech Republic will offer a Western audience the chance to gain an understanding and deep appreciation for Zlín‘s rich heritage of history, architecture, art, culture, literature, education, tourism, trade and commerce.

The exhibition continues till July 31, 2008 in various elegant showrooms and galleries in New York City.

This exhibit is coordinated by the Czech Center New York and has been jointly created and sponsored by the Zlín City Hall and Tomas Bata University.
It is organized in cooperation with the Czech Consulate General, CzechTrade, CzechInvest, and CzechTourism.
