Presentation of FILM FESTIVAL ZLÍN IN NEW YORK

OCTOBER 14–16, CZECH CENTER NEW YORK AT THE BOHEMI AN NATIONAL HALL


Two significant events in the world of cinematography will take place in 2010.

The Jubilee, the 50th International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín and the 100th anniversary of the birth of a world-famous director of Czech origin - Karel Zeman.

 

Both anniversaries are connected with the Czech Republic, but most of all with the regional town of Zlin, which has been associated with the organization of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth since 1961, and where Karel Zeman began his career as a filmmaker.


Film screenings at the Czech Center New York are accompanied by an exhibition presenting work of the world famous filmmaker Karel Zeman. Exhibition is open until October 30.
