Forget or Forgive?

Documentary film and discussion.

Screening of a documentary film "Accused of Planning WW III" by the director Juraj Brocko, introduced by the discussion with Ondrej Krajnak, a documentary filmmaker, moderated by Gabriel Levicky. The film is based on a true story of Karol Noskovic, one of thousands of innocent victims of red terror in the 1950's. The film offers a dramatic testimony of paranoid communist system and portraits and example of brutal, neo-Stalinist persecution in Slovakia.


Dr. Ondrej Krajnak received is PhD in journalism from the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin. Since 2004, he is the head of the History Department at Nation's Memory Institute (Ustav Pamati naroda) in Bratislava where he has created an audio visual archive. During the communist era, Dr. Krajnak participated in the underground church movement. He is a member of the Slovak Confederation of Political Prisoners and of the Steering Committee of European Network Remembrance and Solidarity.
