GREENWAYS AND ECOTOURISM IN CENTRAL EUROPE

May 29, 7 pm

Bohemian National Hall, BBLA , 3rd Floor

Inspired by the Hudson River Valley Greenway 20 years ago, Czech-born American Lubomir Chmelar took the American concept of greenways to his homeland. Since then, the first Central Europe greenway connecting Prague and Vienna has become a successful model for other countries in the region. The presentation will focus on several main greenways connecting the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Austria, and discuss the support for responsible tourism in Central Europe.

A special joint presentation by Czech Tourism and Friends of Czech Greenways. Presented by Czechoslovak Society for Arts and Sciences – SVU NY in cooperation with the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association.
