Czech That Film - a festival of Czech cinema on the Rooftop of the Bohemian National Hall. Presented by Staropramen.

In case of bad weather films will be screened at the BNH indoor cinema at 7pm.
Films are in Czech with English subtitles. Program may be subject to change.

Ladislav Rychman was principally known as the director of music films and musicals, psychological stories, criminal movies and comedies. He filmed famous Czechoslovak musical comedies Starci na chmelu (The Hop Pickers 1964) and Dáma na kolejích (Lady on the Tracks 1966).
The Hop Pickers is a Czech New Wave classic; a musical comedy about group of students picking hops over the summer under school supervision dealing with adolescent morality and bureaucracy. This movie is a fresh, optimistic Czech immortal legend.
Czech That Film, sponsored by Staropramen, is organized by the Czech Center in collaboration with the Consulates General of the Czech Republic in Chicago and Los Angeles in cooperation with the Gene Siskel Film Center and UCLA Film Television.
