Markéta Janušková
Born in Prague in 1989. She began her violin studies at the age of six in the studio of Professor Hana Metelkova.

In 2009, Marketa was accepted at Roosevelt University (Chicago college of Performing Arts) where she worked with Cyrus Forough and Robert Chen (Concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra). Currently, she has been studying with Professor Jaroslav Foltyn at the Prague conservatory. Marketa has attended master classes and lesson with such teacher as Shmuel Askhenazy,Schlomo Mintz, Roger Chase, Cyrus Forough, prof. Ivan Štraus, Václav Hudeček etc.

Marketa has participated many solo violin and also chamber music competitions, at which she has awarded mostly first prizes- Concertino Praga, Dubai International Music Festival, Prague Junior Note or the Anglo-Czechoslovak Trust.

Her concert debut, at the age of six, was just a couple months after she began playing the violin. Since then, Marketa has played over six hundred concerts and has performed solos with outstanding orchestras (The Prague Radio Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia, The Chamber Philharmonic Pardubice, North Czech Philharmonic Teplic, Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, Archi di Slovakia, Barocco sempre giovane etc.), has cooperated with musicians as Josef Suk, Václav Hudeček, Charles Oliveri-Munroe, Friedmann Riehle (December 2008- 10.Czech-German Advent concert) and has held concerts and recitals througout the Czech republic, Germany, U. A. E, Austria, Slovakia, Slovinia, Italy and Croatia, where she was picked up to represent her school on the occasion of the Exhibition of the 200th anniversary of Prague Conservatory.

She cooperates with Czech Television and Czech Radio, where she was invited to perform in the Studio Live Programme (held by ČRo 3 Vltava) and has made several recordings.

Marketa has a broad interest in many styles of playing music. She is a popular chamber music partner and she works as a leader of a czech folklore ensemble.

Marketa plays the violin of Eugenio Degani (1899), which was lent to her by the Czech Museum of Music

 

Stanislav Gallin was born in Russia, but he has been living in the Czech Republic for many years. His numerous competition successes include 1st Prize in Nersingen, Germany, or 1st Prize at The Prague Junior Note.

Stanislav has performed as a soloist with the orchestra of Petersburg Philharmonic, Petersburg Radio Orchestra, Les Solistes Européens Luxembourg, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Bruno Walter Festival Orchestra etc. He has worked with distinguished conductors including Jack Martin Handler, Jakub Hrůša, Alexei Anikhanov, or Peter Vrábel. As avid and much-sought-after chamber player, he has appeared on stages in many European countries, USA, and even Africa.
