Hailing from all over Europe—France, Poland, Norway, England, the Czech Republic—the members of NIE Theatre (New International Encounter) prove that theater is an international language. Their shows fuse live music with multilingual dialogue to tell captivating stories from multiple perspectives. This compelling medley of languages enhances characterization and promotes the universal themes of each show.

Czech Center NY will be hosting a Master Class for young professional performers (18 -24) led by NIE Artistic Director, Kjell Moberg. Ensemble work, clowning and physical comedy, music & song, improvisation & storytelling. Contact devilliers@czechcenter.com to request a place.

The focus of our January program is to offer events for the younger members of our community and their families.  New International Encounter (NIE) makes award-winning theatre performances through a mix of physical theatre, multiple languages, live music and storytelling with a European ensemble.

Their production of Museum of Memories will run at the New Victory Theatre in January and is supported by Czech Center NY. Tickets are available through the theaters website: http://newvictory.org
