Renowned Czech violinist Petr Maceček will join with Poetica Musica for two concerts.

Along with Mr. Maceček, members of Poetica Musica (Eleanor Valkenburg, soprano; Eugene Moye, cellist; Susan Walters, pianist) will perform the Beethoven Kreutzer Sonata, the Brahms Piano Trio in c minor, and Folk Songs by Martinu, among others.

Petr Maceček is a member of the internationally famous Tallich Quartet, which has toured the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, and Asia, performing at Carnegie Hall and in live broadcasts for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Mr. Maceček is also the former concertmaster of and current soloist with the Prague Chamber Orchestra, and has been a frequent participant in the Prague Spring Festival. Poetica Musica, a New York-based consortium, is currently Artists-in-Residence at Old Westbury Gardens.
The concert at Old Westbury Gardens is preceded by a pre-concert talk at 7:30 PM. A guided tour of the gardens of Westbury House will be conducted at 6:45 pm. A Meet the-Artists reception will follow the concert.

Tickets are $18.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members. Please contact Old Westbury Gardens at (516) 333-0048 for reservations and information. St. Joseph’s Church is located at 371 Sixth Avenue at Washington Place in New York City. A voluntary donation can be made at the door on the day of the concert.
