Riders in the Sky (Nebeští jezdci), dir. Jindřich Polák, 1968, 92 min., in Czech with English subtitles 
Film about Czechoslovak pilots in the service of the Royal Air Force (RAF) in the UK during the Second World War. 

Autumn 1942. Wellington bomber crew is formed by the first pilot and aircraft captain Pavel, Czechoslovak, copilot Frank, Englishman,  navigator George, Englishman,  telegrapher Tommy, Canadian, and gunners Student and Shorty, both Czechoslovaks. The night raid on Dusseldorf has a successful ending and the aircraft returns to base happily. However, the other plane crew is not that lucky and is made to an emergency landing at the sea and, afterwards, is considered lost. A young officer of WAAF Patricia is taking a crew into the dining room. Captain Paul and others know very well about her relationship with gunner Student and have an understanding for them. In the dining room the crew encounters the Polish crew of the airplane that made an emergency landing at the airport. In the evening, they all go into town to dance, but in the middle of the most exuberant hilarity, suddenly, the patrol reports an hostile raid ...
