Enjoy this unique, international performance of contemporary dance and fine art fusion, streamed live simultaneously from both the Czech Republic and the USA, embodying Czech-American dance interpretations of visual art exhibition works, led by American choreographer Sue Schroeder.

June 13 at 10AM (EDT) on CCNY Facebook

The performance will be livestreamed from the Czech Republic (4PM CET) and United States (10AM EDT) simultaneously.
You can watch it HERE

Witness the culmination of unique research, in which 11 dance makers from the Czech Republic and the United States will “work through” physical, kinesthetic and movement ideas linked to the artistic intention of individual works within the exhibition 1796-1918: ART OF THE LONG CENTURY, part of the National Gallery in Prague’s permanent collection, in real time. The work also responds to the curatorial intention of the exhibition as a whole.

Choreographer Sue Schroeder (USA) will lead six American and five Czech dance artists in a unique practice that mirrors the creative approaches and artistic works contained within the exhibition. Characterized by a certain departure from traditional notions of dance, this practice supports and challenges the unusual, fruitful and inspirational debate around fine art, while also facilitating a kinesthetic approach to telling the “story of art.”

Organized by the Center for Choreographic Development SE.S.TA in cooperation with contemporary dance company Core Dance in Houston (TX) and the National Gallery Prague.
