The Tin Ring

The Tin Ring, adapted and performed by Jane Arnfield, and adapted and directed by Mike Alfreds, is a dramatization of Holocaust survival based on the autobiography by Zdenka Fantlová.

Q&A with Ms. Arnfield, Mr. Alfreds, and Producer Tony Harrington will follow the performance.

Zdenka Fantlová is one of a handful of living eye-witnesses to the atrocities of the Holocaust, to which she lost her entire family.

This is her inspiring story of great love, one as uplifting as it is harrowing. She was born in Czechoslovakia and she was 17 when the war began and the tin ring of the title was given to her by Arno her first love. Zdenka kept it with her as a symbol of truth and hope from Terezin to Bergen-Belsen.

Zdenka says, “My story is universal: it is about the power of love, which combined with hope, enables us to achieve almost a miracle. I hope it will inspire all who see the performance”.

Tin Ring is a profoundly uplifting story of great love, brought to life by Jane Arnfield’s extraordinary solo performance.

'Jane Arnfield is a rare performer who can portray such subtle, emotional integrity that it becomes difficult for audience members to blink when she's on stage.' Metro
